Q. When do Earlybird registrations close?

Thursday 30 June 2011 at 5.00 pm Australia/Brisbane time which is UTC plus 10 hours. EFT or cheque payments must be received by 30 June to receive the earlybird rate.

Q. What if I cannot register online?

Q. How will I know if my registration has been processed?

Your registration will be acknowledged via email immediately. Registration fees are based on date of receipt of payment (not the receipt of registration form). A tax invoice will be sent by email within five working days of receipt of registration.

Q. What if I want to make changes to my registration details?

Alterations to your registration must be in writing via:

Q. What is the criterion for the Full Time Student Package?

Full time students only are eligible for this package. After registering online students must email their institution name, supervisor's name and a contact phone or email address to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Evidence may be validated before a student registration is confirmed.

Q. I would like to bring a guest to the conference dinner, how do I purchase a ticket.?

Purchase extra tickets in the “social tickets section” of the registration process.
Remember: Full registrations already include one ticket to both social functions.

Q. I need to pay for my guest’s social ticket on a different credit card to my registration.

Easy – register and pay for your registration then register again and select only the extra social ticket/s for your guest – pay using the second credit card. Two separate tax invoices will be issued. Alternatively, to pay for the guest’s ticket by private cheque or EFT select “Register without Payment” at the end and a tax invoice will be emailed to you.

Q. What if I register then have to cancel?

Registration cancellations must be advised in writing (see ‘Changes to Registration details above’ for contact details). Cancellations received before Friday 1 July 2011 will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of AU$100.00. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded, unless exceptional circumstances apply, but registrations can be transferred to substitute delegates without penalty. Delegates who cancel their registration are responsible for cancelling any accommodations and travel bookings.

Q. What are the options if a refund is required?

Registration changes resulting in a refund are documented and a Refund Notice emailed to the delegate outlining refund options - 1) Cheque or EFT [if delegate from Australia] –no fee payable, 2) International bank transfer [if delegate outside Australia – fees payable by delegate), 3) Cash at registration in Perth [delegate to sign Refund Receipt Acknowledgement upon receipt of cash].

General Conference Questions

Q. What is the Producer Day on 21 July?

The Producer Day on 21 July is an opportunity for breeders to inform the industry of new developments in the genetic evaluation systems for sheep, beef and dairy cattle and to show what genetic changes have taken place in the livestock over the last 10 years. Full registrations include the Producer Day.

Q. What is the dress code for conference and functions?

During conference days – smart casual.
Welcome Function – smart casual.
Conference Dinner – evening informal. Smart casual minimum.

Q. How do I travel between the hotel and airport?

To book bus/shuttle transport between Perth Airport and the conference venue or your accommodation, please contact Bruce White at Perth Connect Shuttle Service via email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The one way trip is 40 minutes maximum (time will depend on traffic conditions). Price is $14 for a single journey and $25 for a return journey. Pre-booked group bookings will also be offered a discount on the above prices. A one way taxi fare is approximately $50.

Please book your transport by Monday 13 July to avoid disappointment.

Q. Can I smoke at the conference or in the student accommodation?

No smoking is allowed inside the student accommodation or inside the conference venue. Refer to signage around the university for designated smoking areas.

In the event of industrial disruptions, or natural disasters the conference organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred by delegates and will not accept responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the conference.
