Site updates
Guidelines for poster and oral presentations are now available for download from the "Presentations" page. The system for uploading oral presentation files is also available on that page.
The program available on the "Program" page is now our final working version. Authors and presenters are asked to note the details of their sessions and to prepare their presentation materials in time to send them by the due date.
Note: There will be a number of events in Armidale at the time of the conference. We encourage you to read the information on the Accommodtion page then make your reservations and travel arrangements as soon as possible.

The president of AAABG, A/Prof Julius van der Werf and the AAABG Committee are pleased to announce the Association"s 17th conference and invite members together with all those interested in animal breeding to contribute papers, attend the conference and participate in discussions. Conference themes and sessions
the conference theme is "Genetic Improvement - Making it Happen". This will be discussed in plenary sessions introduced by invited reviews in the areas of:
- Practical implementation of genetic improvement and evidence of success
- Breeding for production as well as fitness
- Utilisation of molecular information
- Where to go from here
In addition a wide range of topics will be covered by paper and poster presentations in concurrent sessions each day. A provisional outline of these areas can be viewed on the Program page.
Communications and information
This web site will be our most up to date medium for conference information and management support. Email alerts about significant updates to the web site will be sent to members and people who express interest in contributing papers to the conference. However we suggest that everyone interested in the conference should periodically look at these pages. The "Notices" column on this page will give a brief indiction of recent changes.
